More details can be found here.

Anthony Santor Jazz Group, Friday, August 6, 9:00 pm – 12:00 am

Considered by many to be the hottest and freshest jazz in town.  The Anthony Santor Jazz Group has become very popular at 51 Main at the Bridge.

Island Time Steel Drums, Saturday, August 7, 8:00 – 11:00 pm

Scott Paulson and Barbara Smith deliver the islands to you with their Caribbean Steel Drums. The joy these two find in performing music comes through in their upbeat style, whether they are performing traditional Trinidadian steel pan tunes, or calypso and pop favorites. Their show consists of Scott on lead tenor steel pan, and Barbara on double second pans. They play over background accompaniments which the pair have painstakingly recorded for this purpose. The result is a full lush sound created by only two people.

“The Other Book Club” with Dorothea Langevin

We’re trying something new at 51 Main next week!

Local resident and Professional Certified Energy Coach Dorothea Langevin will facilitate a discussion, “The Energy of Thought: Tapping Into Our Internal Energy Sources Through Powerful Questions.” By combining a life long love for reading and questioning with her training as a Facilitator and Professional Certified Energy Coach, Dorothea will be offering thoughts from various sources as a base for an engaged exchange of thought. She writes, “As latest research in Quantum Physics shows, powerful questions are the key to connecting with the most powerful energy source there is: our connected consciousness.”

Dorothea affectionately calls this “The Other Book Club,” as it involves no preparation, no homework, no assigned readings. She wants you to come, sit back, and join on any level that feels right for you. It’s for all of you who like to ask questions, feel inspired by thought that challenges our current beliefs, and are willing to ask, “What if…?” Dorothea notes, “There are no right answers, only answers that ring true for you!”

When is this happening? Wednesday, August 4 and Thursday, September 9, 5:15-6:15 (but you are of course welcome to stay and linger on a thought or two…) You may come to either or both conversations and no advance registration is required.

Questions? Email Dorothea Langevin at dorothea.langevin [AT] gmail [DOT] com.
