A free monthly Spoken Word/Poetry Open Mic evening at 51 Main at the Bridge. Shy and Outspoken Poets, Storytellers, Writers Artists and Listeners are more than welcome. Music added to the evening by Trusion Project, a jazz improvisation group of Middlebury students.

Rock, afro beat, soul. Bearquarium is a hot new 8-piece afro-rock groove spectacular that is rapidly garnering attention for its high-powered performances and fresh sound. Called “up-and-comers” by Vermont’s Seven Days, Bearquarium just released their debut self-titled album in July 2009 and is currently spreading their sound performing throughout the Northeast. Featuring deep percussive grooves, piercing organ, heavy horn lines, and soul inspired vocals, Bearquarium offers a captivating new sound that fills the room with energy.
