Island Time Steel Drums, Saturday, August 7, 8:00 – 11:00 pm Scott Paulson and Barbara Smith deliver the islands to you with their Caribbean Steel Drums. The joy these two find in performing music comes through in their upbeat style, whether they are performing traditional Trinidadian steel pan tunes, or calypso and pop favorites. Their show consists of Scott on lead tenor steel pan, and Barbara on double second pans. They play over background accompaniments which the pair have painstakingly recorded for this purpose. The result is a full lush sound created by only two people. |
